Meet The Artist

Kannah Ysabelle Wong

Tattooing is an intimate practice between the artist and client, where trust is given to the tattooist to bring the client’s idea to life. Being comfortable with the artist, as well as appreciating their art style is essential to picking your tattooer. It is always advisable to do your own research about the artist you trust and choose wisely.

ABOUT ME:

My name is Kannah Ysabelle Wong, I am a female, Filipino-American tattooist based in Greensboro, North Carolina. I have been enjoying this art for 3 years and I’m thrilled to be able to do what I love. I specialize in black & gray tattoos, and I enjoy works including florals, cybersigilism, ornamental pieces, renaissance or sculptural subjects, and anything with intricate details or interesting textures. Although these are pieces I enjoy, I also take requests in varying subjects/styles to widen my experience and shape me into a well-rounded artist.

Before I was introduced to tattooing, I always found joy in art making, specifically drawing and painting. I graduated in University of North Carolina Greensboro with a studio arts degree in 2020, where I later found interest in the art of tattooing.

While I did begin an apprenticeship with a finely skilled artist, I was unable to finish my time with them and entered the journey of being a self-taught artist. While tattooing was an entirely new skill I struggled to learn, I am now thrilled to say I’ve discovered a very special craft that brings so much warmth in my heart to be able to spread my art through the clientele I’ve built throughout the years. I am highly appreciative of the people who I’ve worked with and wish to continue creating great experiences with great people through great tattoos.

I invite you to look through my work and decide whether I am the right artist for you. Thank you for reading and I look forward to collaborating with you!
